Mission
The mission of FCC Maryland is to provide its community of member families, who are united by the experience of international adoption from China, with a network of relevant information, resources, and support. We honor our children's heritage, celebrate the diversity of our families, and advocate for their acceptance and respect. We seek to understand and support the evolving needs of our families and to assist our children as they grow to understand their life stories. Additionally, we provide support to families waiting to adopt from China and, through charitable contributions, provide financial support to children who remain in China's orphanages.
Benefits
Families benefit from a multitude of opportunities. We sponsor many events throughout the year like a Dragon Boat Festival, an Autumn Moon Dinner, and a Chinese New Year Party. Various playgroups have also formed throughout the area. Additionally, parents in both the paper chase and waiting stage gather to gain information about the adoption process and to share their joy and frustration of forming a forever family. Our membership section discusses these benefits and how your family can be a part of this community. |
